Fate has brought together two gifted musicians named Joe who were searching El Dorado County
for the impossible, the perfect compliment to their unique talent.
Lightning struck when the Joes finally met and found that their musical styles and influences complimented each other magically.
Committed to creating an exciting musical experience these two guys are the face and sound of Cotton Jack.
Laying a foundation for the band is Donny on drums and John on bass guitar.
The band's reputation for being one of the best bands on the Western Slope
is spreading due to the clean, hard driving, rock and blues they play at each performance.
Joined often by their friend Roger Coleman on blues harp, they have the ability to make people not only get up
and dance but also to sit and listen intently. Every performance is a party as Donny and John kick out a groove
while Joe and Joe lay down rhythms and leads on their Stratocasters and Motif ES8 keyboard. Both Joes sing,
at times sweet and harmoniously and other times rough and soulfully.
The bands very well-rounded repertoire speaks for itself.
They play a lot of straight rock from the likes of Bad Company, John Fogerty,
CCR and John Mellencamp. They also can lay down some early Beatles with
acoustic guitars and harmonies. After throwing in some Wilson Pickett and
others they get to the blues. Laying down a shuffle with either two guitars or
one guitar and organ they really have got it covered. Then to top it off, Roger
shows up and burns some solo harp you rarely hear.
Music to these guys is the essence of life itself.
They need to share their love of music with their friends and fans.
